Wonder if we'll see much of these 2 rooks this season?

3. It's looking more and more like Rashod Hill will be the opening day starter at left tackle.
Rookie first-round draft pick Christian Darrisaw was in pads but still hasn't taken a snap on offense in a team drill. Strangely, he did take one snap on the field goal unit.
Oli Udoh seems to be gaining the edge in the battle at right guard. He worked with the first team while Dakota Dozier worked with the second unit. Rookie Wyatt Davis worked with the third team and appears to be losing ground.

I think Darrisaw's ascension to starting LT over Hill will track in similar fashion to O'Neill's ascension over Hill.

Davis will probably serve as depth.

Couldn't agree more.  There will be a play or many plays or even games where one of the tackles is injured.  If Hill is healthy he is the swing tackle and Darrisaw will go in as the LT.  That will be when he gets his chance.  Hopefully it'll take a bit for that to happen so he's good and healthy.

Davis will need to earn his position.  But if he's not good enough to beat out the guys ahead of him this year....

Makes me wonder if there's not something about Davis we don't know about. Something character related? Just guessing, but a player like that should not have lasted to the 3rd round, especially considering that his injury didn't appear to be something that would drop his stock. It certainly hasn't been a factor in training camp.

we are 2 weeks into what will be a 6 month season and have seen zero game action thus far.  maybe a little early to try and predict who plays this year?

Agreed, rookies get impossibly behind if they miss days of training camp due to injury. We fans get too close to the trees to see the forest half the time.
