I'd say more stereotype than racist, but it works the other way too. Remember Byron Leftwich? So much of the pre-draft conversation around him was that he was mobile and fast. Total stereotype. Probably the slowest human whoever played QB. 

I dont recall anybody ever calling Manwich "fast",  I remember people saying mobile despite his lack of speed.  IIRC he had an O linemans 40 didnt he?
