  Following the suspension of its season due to the coronavirus, the XFL will allow its players to immediately sign with NFL teams.Players initially had to wait until the end of the XFL season to go fishing for NFL deals. Since no one knows when it might resume — 2021 seems most likely — there was no point in starting an acrimonious fight and keeping them under contract. It's excellent news for someone like fourth-year UDFA P.J. Walker, who was amongst the best players in Vince McMahon's revived NFL companion.
