It's like.... Oh just a cheesy ass teaser trailer. Goes to darkness... Palpatine laugh.... OMG! The sad part is this movie basically needs to be a 2nd movie and 3rd movie because they messed up so bad on The Last Jedi.

I'm pretty much "meh" on Star Wars now. The star wars universe was so engrossing, it seemed impossible to fuck it up, but there's just so much disappointment that they've put out. At least they're recognizing they screwed up pretty bad with the skywalker bit at the end. I just don't have much faith in them being able to tell a compelling story right now. I don't know how they can take the crap they've put out and resolve it in a satisfying manner. The prequels weren't great. Force Awakens seemed like it didn't really stand on its own but was building into the rest of the trilogy and then the Last Jedi seemed like it's goal was to tear down the entire franchises history for some reason.

It seems to me that the Star Wars followers come from two generations. In 1977 my parents took me to the world premier of the original Star Wars in London. At the time it had the most advanced special effects and was the biggest movie release in years. To top it off I was watching it in a huge theatre in London so as a young kid I was an instant follower and thought it was the greatest movie ever made soI looked forward to the Empire Strikes Back and the Return of The Jedi. The next four or so in the trilogy I could have cared less about, I dont think my generation could not relate to them. Now that its back with Hans Solo, Lea, Chewy I can relate again and it once again has my interest. I can understand how some younger star wars fans feel the opposite though and like the middle movies more than the originals.

I grew up with the original 3 so I come from one perspective. My son got to grow up with the next 3 so I got to appreciate his experience and see it through his eyes. He definitely has another perspective. But we both agree that the latest 3 are lacking. Rogue One was decent. The Force Awakens was meh, athough I got to see General Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. I have yet to watch The Last Jedi. They have fucked it up royally so I guess we'll see what happens from here.

Awesome trailer!
I'm a huge SW fan (see my avatar) and probably more forgiving of the movies than most. Some are much better than others but I enjoy all of them to some degree. Based on the trailer, this one is shaping up to be one of the better ones. Looks epic (as it should)!

I loved Star Wars from the time I was a teenager in 1977 till now. The original 3 are legendary. I enjoy Sci Fi but for whatever reason didn't keep up with the middle 3. Life was busy then and my kids were never Sci Fi geeks like me. It skipped a generation. My grandson is so I've picked up with these last few and their spin offs and such. Being a Sci Fi geek I can tell you people take everything to seriously about their personal geekhood. It's funny how they feel owed something more then what the average person deserves. They don't actually think these stories have a real life, at least I hope not, but they feel anger if the story doesn't fit what they wanted. Me I just enjoy a good story and even a bad one if need be to keep up with the plot of the storyline.
Good trailer. We'll definitely watch this one.

I was 11 years old when Star Wars came out in 1977 and the line was around the block to get in. Most amazing movie I had ever seen to that point. It was a great time for movies around that year as Jaws came out and Rocky.
