Ryan Shazier - LB - SteelersSteelers president Art Rooney II said ILB Ryan Shazier (back) has recently resumed jogging.
Unable to walk on his own a year ago, Shazier is making "amazing progress" according to Rooney. "Almost every week, he’s doing something he wasn’t doing the week before," Rooney said. "He’s a remarkable young man and an inspiration to everybody around here." Shazier is set to become a free agent in March, but Rooney has indicated the team wants to re-sign him so he can continue his rehabilitation.Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

I am happy to hear he is walking again, I would never wish paralysis on anybody (or very few),  but I cringe at the fact that this guy becomes a feel good strory because he was a cheap ass player,  very much in the mold of the often criticized Vontaz Burfict.  I dont watch a ton of steelers games,  but I can about guarantee that every game I have seen Shazier play he has taken liberities outside the norm of the game.
