Man,

Who's made more $? Cassel or Bradford?
Bradford and not even close.
Yep, ol' Sammy has probably made close to double what Cassel has made.

You'd br hard pressed to find someone who has made so much, providing so little, for so many.
check out Joe Mauers contract dollars....  over $200 million in his career,  most of which came after putting up his career best numbers.
At least Mauer put up career numbers before getting paid.

Any NJ, your slip is showing.  Need to update your Spielman rant.

signing Mauer to that contract was about the biggest mistake the Twins have ever made.  Given that the Pohlads are notorious for not being willing to spend on the franchise,  to tie up essentially 1/4 to 1/3 of their self imposed salary cap on one player whos only redeeming trait was batting average... and to do it for a decade.  As a lifelong Twins fan, one word comes to mind.."crushing"...  soul crushing.

True, was just saying, at least he had career stats before signing the contract.  The old rookie contracts, which Sam was the last, were crazy for guys who had never set foot on the field.
