The Vikings division rival who improved the most on the 1st day of free agency
#1
Declaring winners of the NFL’s free agency period is fool’s gold. The Jaguars were “offseason winners” for about a dozen consecutive years before it actually translated to success at a high level for them last season. You can’t win or lose any games in March, with that said, I really like what the Chicago Bears have done so far.
Two of the earliest deals announced in yesterday’s flurry of activity were the signings of former Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson and Eagles tight end Trey Burton who are both headed to Chicago. They were soon followed by Falcons receiver and speed specialist Taylor Gabriel, as well as Dolphins kicker Cody Parkey.
That’s a hell of a day for any team. It’s even bigger for a team coming off four consecutive last place finishes in the NFC North.

Yes they are. The Bears will have to do more than just put sexy names on paper to actually emerge out of the division’s cellar, but GM Ryan Pace is certainly giving new head coach Matt Nagy a lot to work with. These signings clearly make them better and will make life much better for second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.
It’s still a big day for the Vikings as fans of the defending NFC North champions celebrate the dawn of the Kirk Cousins era. But the rival Bears in the Windy City are suddenly making moves that are very un-Bears like.
Combine these offensive pieces with a defense that performed pretty well last season and the Bears might actually have a chance to climb the ladder in the NFC North.

The NFCN might be the toughest division in the NFL now. I really like Trubisky, I think he's going to stick. But they'll still have to keep things a little simpler for him in year 2.

The Bears are finally looking like their doing things right.  The Packers are trying to bring people in to help, but the defense is steadily declining.  The Lions always seemed to self-destruct at the worst possible time.
Probably a good time to be a Viking.

They actually look like they may have a plan now.  We will see how it works out on the field, but a step in the right direction I think.  The packers are looking for bandaids for a severed artery and the lions did a lobotomy to fix broken legs.

Division games will always be tough, but I like our position right now.

Bears do look better. If they can ever get Kevin White healthy, matching him with Allen Robinson is a pretty scary thing. Especially if Trubiski is for real.

Seems like a big changing of the guard in the NFL from where it was just a couple years ago. Seattle in tatters, New England not far behind. Cardinals sinking. Chiefs rebuilding. Broncos and Steelers taking on water. How long can Rodgers hold the yellow team afloat? Bengals, Panthers, Saints, Raiders and Falcons holding serve while teams like the Vikings, Eagles, and Rams really good and getting better. Teams like the 49ers, Texans and Bears on the rise.

Man, is it just me or is the NFC like three times better than the AFC?

It's reminding me of the 70's where there were some good NFC teams like Doomsday Cowboys, Rams and Vikings....But then real amazing teams in the AFC like Dolphins and Steelers.
