Time to prepare for next season

Let' s shore up the o-line, sign the guys we need, have a great draft, and move forward.
Great job this year by the staff here.

The key for the OLine is depth.  What you saw yesterday was your starting right tackle having to play guard.  Your starting right guard having to play center.  Your left guard injured and out, so your starting right guard had to play there.  Your swingman lineman subbing at right guard.  Your backup right tackle having to start.

The Line is a ton better.   For at least 10 years, QBs were running for their life.  For at least 10 years, the only run game we had was one Adrian Peterson largely manufactured without blocking.  Look how bad our run game was yesterday.  But this year, a one-dimensional back who runs upright and has only limited speed (Murray) ran for 800 yards and was effective.  It is better, and one bad game doesn't make it bad.

Figure out the QB - In my pecking order, it is Case Keenum, Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater.  I'd sign Keenum, Franchise Bradford and move on from Bridgewater.

The NFL is a very competitive league.  If you have a franchise QB, you compete every year -Brady and Rodgers.  If not, it's a dogfight year in and year out.

Defense and a franchise QB.  It is the cornerstone.  Yesterday, neither showed up....on the road.

Define which way you are going at QB, look to maybe one impact FA signing, strong draft and the return of Dalvin Cook. Many reasons for continued optimism about this team moving forward.

It will take a few days to put this bitter pill in the rearview, but its a game and we'll keep it in perspective.

Question: Do we owe the Eagles a 4th round pick...Or since we made it to the NFC championship game do we owe them a 3rd round pick?

its a third round pick unless it was protected by a playing clause that we dont know about,  but the deal was a 3rd if we made the NFCCG and a 2nd if we had won the SB.

the eagles are still winning in this trade.  not saying it was a bad deal,  it just hasnt turned out very well for the Vikes.

No, it's this year's 4th...  It was conditional based upon how we finished LAST season.

The Eagles used that 4th rounder to get that running back from the Dolphins.  So they own it now.

I think we also need more depth on DL for rotation. Those guys played way to many snaps and it  showed as the season went on.

I think that was a lot of what we saw last night.  those big uglies in the middle just played to many snaps this year and their bodies were giving up.  really missed not having a healthier rotation, especially for LJ.
