Good points. But that's why you bring in another QB. I just fear that McCarthy might be more on the Brees/Darnold/Mayfield/Goff careeer path than the Maye one.

I really don't want the team to give up on McCarthy becasue if they do, I agree with you. He doesn't strike me as a Josh Rosen type at all. I just hope injuries don't force their hand. Even if they still believe in JJM, like pf pointed out you just can't wait forever. I'm confident that if McCarthy can stay healthy next year it'll be the best thing personnel-wise to happen to this team since the OG JJ- Justin Jefferson- arrived.
