Just got a call from a recruiter about a potential job working for a top 3 bank. She wanted samples of technical documents I had previously produced at other firms. I said that’s a complete non starter for me as that is no longer my intellectual property to share. This happens frequently to me and my answer is always the same. 

I’m starting to think the gig economy is the way to go the next 5 years. I’m definitely not ready to retire but I’ve got little patience for this kind of bullshit. 

Anyone deal with unethical practices on a routine basis?

I get scammers calling all the time claiming to be developers wanting to do a project in my area and needing my help to find some sub contractors to work with... I ask about 2 qualifying questions and then promptly tell them to fuck off,  or I will ask them to hold while I get to a different computer and then never pick the call back up.

Yeah. I tend towards being a bit naive when assuming people have the same ethics as I do.
