The Vikings have added to their receivers room and special teams efforts via an agreement with Tim Jones that was announced Tuesday.

Jones joins Minnesota after spending the past four seasons (including 2021 on the practice squad) with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He has appeared in all 17 games in each of the past three seasons, logging 653 snaps on offense and 648 on special teams. Jones has recorded 17 receptions for 154 yards on 27 targets while on offense. The native of Biloxi, Mississippi, who played college football at Southern Miss has added six tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams.

Who the hell is Tim Jones? That's not a football name. Jim Bob Cooter is a football name. Tim Jones sounds like a youth pastor.

Probably one of those youth pastors to boot.

No, 'Tim' comes out when he's halfway through a wine cooler. 'Timothy' Jones is doing the Lord's work.

Maybe he can sing some of his greatest hits after the games..."It's not unusual", "What's up Pussycat", "She's a Lady".

Special teamer with a lot of snaps last year. Probably will replace Trent Sherfield's slot (who went on to riches when he signed with the Broncos)
