CJ Ham

He'll be 32 years old this summer and has a $3.4 million hit against the cap. This has to be a restructure or an outright cut. I really like Hammer, but his role can be done by a much younger and cheaper version....if you even need a FB.

I’ve thought this same thing the last 2 offseasons. They must put on the tape and he stands out. He is a really good special teams player. His pff numbers aren’t great, but he seems pretty good in pass pro, can catch a little, and I can’t remember him fumbling. Locker room leader as well. It all adds up I guess

Do they not make fullbacks that can run the ball anymore? He had 2 carries and 5 catches if ESPN is accurate.

I think Ham's a big part of the offense, especially as a pass blocker. But it is probably time to start looking for his replacement. He may get restructured, but I'd bet he's back for one more year. Here's a good take on what he brings to the offense.

I can really feel his presence on the goal line and in red-zone running we excel at so much....

This is interesting because the few times they lined him up and ran power he has gotten a couple yards, albeit with a tailback behind him. Wish KOC had done more of this, maybe he fumbled once in padded practice, who knows

I was being sarcastic Wink

The whole power running thing needs to be overhauled, I dont see a long-term role for Hamster or a FB.

Super nice guy but...

I feel like if you use red zone running as the standard in judging any of our offensive players, you’ll come to the conclusion that we should replace everyone on our offense.

And the coach too!
