We really picked Turner over Jared Verse??

That Eagles DL though. Jordan Davis in the middle, Milton Williams and Jalen Carter outside. Milton Williams is a free agent on a lot of Viking fans wish lists, including mine. Not a great run defender, but he's an elite interior pass rusher.

I think Milton would work here. We have Pace, and I think that would mask an inside guy that isn't as strong in the run defense department. It would allow us to have more of an inside push with Pace being a blanket if needed in run support.

Davis is largely used in run situations so his pass rush stats are shit,  likely because they have others like Carter that are much better at it.  At Davis's size he isnt an every down guy, but few are...either way I would much rather have had either of these two than the shit show that we ended up with in that draft.

he played for about 3 years ( 44 games, started 24) ,  averaged about 1 sack every 4 games,  a QB hit every 2 games,  and about 2 tackles per game.  IIRC there was a lot of talk at the time about him being a bust of a pick compared to the hype that he came in with.  I dont think he was on the verge of much, maybe I am mis-remembering, but he certainly wasnt a player that was likely to make my list of great defensive linemen for the Vikings,  just another nice piece at best.

Turner was known he will take time to come into his own body. He was 20. Verse is 4 years older. JJ is a winner and has won at every level. Has that factor to him. You know, the things you can't teach. I would take Turner every time over Verse. Turner should have went 8th overall at his age. Not Verse. Dudes just a clown.

How many times do I need to prove that you are wrong. JJ was put out with 2's on offense against the 1's on defense and JJ outplayed Darnold. As a 21 year old fucking rookie. They never did that again in camp. Why? Because they knew what they had.
lol
Ya sure

This tape is alarming to me not once did look past his first option, panicked and threw three terrible interceptions!  That was amateur hour against a team like bowling Green come on man that’s ridiculous.

He was a caretaker in college - doubt he’s even in the league 10 years from now. I’m a diehard Viking fan and will be pulling for him if he plays next year but I would say there’s a 10% chance if even that he’s successful.

Let’s face it - the general managers drafting has been simply atrocious, and I’m supposed to trust the quarterback he drafted when he was merely a caretaker at Michigan. He was along for the ride the FEW times he was asked to do anything He peed down his leg.

Maybe I am misremembering... I just remember he had that knee injury through his first two years until he decided to have surgery, which was botched from I remember, and it ended his career. I think he had a lawsuit for it too against Andrews I thought. I just remember a lot of talk saying he was the perfect 3 tech for Zimmer and that he wasn't being used correctly before Zimmer. Well, he never got that chance. That may be what I remember the talk about. The "thought" of him being used in the right system and the center piece of Zims defense.
