I may sing a different tune by end of mos, but I dont think the Vikings have a choice anymore but to minimally tag Sam. The fanbase and media would skewer them if they didnt.

We do have the advantage of an enormous game this week followed by hopefully multiple playoff games for further evaluation on Darnold. He has already shown enough to make the Vikes have to seriously consider resigning him, however he can really make it impossible for them not to over the next month.
