Just imagine if you're Sam today...

You gotta be waking up today thanking the football gods and in some state of disbelief to be in this situation after 7 long years.

From the gutter of the NFL in NY and Carolina to national games, playing for division titles, playoff seeding and perhaps the #1 seed in the NFC.

Be nice if the gods smile on him and our franchise too. We deserve it as fans lol!

The performance of Sheduer Sanders and all these top college quarterback prospects also has to put a smile on Sam's face because it only increases his value in free agency. Sanders getting his ass whooped in a meaningless bowl game against BYU last night wasn't a good look

I had to turn that stinker of a game off...yuch

Admittedly, I have not watched much of Shedder this year. He sure didnt look like a #1 overall pick last night. Beck doesnt look like a #1 pick imo so who does that leave?

Ward?

QB needy teams need to tread careful - great year to be a FA QB with QB1 potential.

Yup, pretty much Ward, who most see as a nice prospect, but probably a guy who in most drafts would be going mid to late 1st round instead of #1 overall. I can say pretty confidently that if McCarthy were in this draft class he'd be the top overall quarterback prospect. All this bodes very well for Sam Darnold.

I don’t like this years crop at all.  Lot of me first in the group.  I think we’ll love the McCarthy pick in 2-3 years if not next year.
