It will be interesting how it plays out. I have a feeling Atlanta is going to find out their issues run much deeper than just Kirko and also that Penix is the same QB that wilted in the championship game last year. I think Kirko actually ends back at QB for them again this year if they remain in contention.

Maybe....

But with only 3 games left, I think that is a long-shot scenario. Unless Penix gets injured or just sucks royally, my guess is that Kirko is done for 24 in ATL.

Who really knows what they’ll do, but I think the smart move would be for them to hang onto Cousins until closer to camp and make a decision at that time. Let that foot heal and give him every chance to get back to normal, maximize his trade value or earn his starting job back, unless Penix looks amazing.

I’ll be curious to hear more stories as they come out about what actually was happening. Like how much of it his ankle? Is favoring his ankle causing other problems? Is the OC changing the scheme on the fly and he just isn’t a fast learner and its more of a mental thing than a physical thing?

Kirk would never settle for being the backup so that is a big fat NO!

Joke is on him. He’s now a backup.

It’s not the benching. It’s what the benching represents.
