Gilmore
#1
You could sure tell when he wasn't in the game vs Cards...

Sounds like the hamstring isnt IR worthy, but could very well keep him out vs Kirko/ATL.

Yeah, KOC kept him from going back in the game which will help him turn around quick. Not sure if it will be quick enough for this Sunday.

DB has got to be #1 priority next season. They need better starters and depth.

Putting #23 out there again this week is a bit nerve wracking.

I still think a DT/3-4DE that can wreck things up the middle is probably more vital than CB.

Our lack of getting pressure on Murray and our inability to stop the run were our major problems against them.

I agree with the logic, but the reason I would put DB #1 (even over IDL) is that I dont think we have many (any) under contract for 25.

Gilmore is our best corner and he is OLD and he's just a one year, gun for hire at this point in his career.

Well to be fair when you look at the depth chart the Vikings were in OUTSTANDING shape at CB. Then tragedy struck. The death of Khyree Jackson and the non contact torn ACL injury on the first day of camp to Mekhi Blackmon were devastating to the Vikings CB depth. I am pretty sure the Vikings staff had these two penciled in as the two starters before the season started. Just awful luck.

Agreed.  B-Flo's D is based upon getting pressure with the front 4.  If that happens we can live with mediocre talent we can get off of FA.   Our secondary gets exposed quickly when the front 4 don't get pressure and the blitzes aren't getting home.

And this draft is a pretty good DE/DT draft.  RB also.
