So the question is: why didn't they resign Cousins?

I kinda shudder for Darnold, though...the massive hate brigade that's built up over the last decade has fresh meat, and Sam's play has not (to this date) given much hope for exceeding expectations. I genuinely hope he does, by miles, and we retake and dominate the NFCN...but our QBs seem to piss off about half of our fan base by existing, so...good luck, Sam...!

He has been through the worst of it with Adam Gase and Todd Bowles, I think he can handle it. He also had to endure the Panthers but he briefly had Shanahan. I think he has probably learned a lot and has a thick skin. I think KOC and McCown are probably additional stability for him

They need to find a run game for him. Hopefully Jones, Addison, Hockenson, and Jefferson can ease his pain.
