Don't forget he was also very bad at Illinois. I said it earlier in the Harbaugh thread, but some guys are flat out good coaches and then some guys are good coaches in specific eras. Lovie was a good coach in the mid 2000s and that's about it. His time has passed but lucky for him, the Texans are so damn stupid that it made sense to them.
