EAGAN, Minn. — Justin Jefferson had a November to remember.

As a result, the Vikings wide receiver was the named NFC Offensive Player of the Month on Thursday morning.

Jefferson put up dazzling numbers in four November games, catching 24 passes for 464 yards and three touchdowns.

His best performances came in back-to-back wins against the
Chargers and Packers, victories that helped the Vikings elevate
themselves into the NFC playoff picture.

Jefferson tied his career-high with nine receptions against Los
Angeles, pulling in 143 receiving yards on the road in a 27-20 win. He
then dominated the Packers at home with eight catches for 169 yards and a
pair of touchdowns, an outing that earned him NFC Offensive Player of
the Week honors.

Jefferson capped off his excellent month by surpassing the
1,000-yard mark for the season in Sunday's game against the 49ers. He
joined only Hall of Famer Randy Moss as the only Vikings players to hit
the milestone in their first two seasons in the NFL.

The 464 receiving yards rank third among Vikings players all-time
in the month of November. Moss had 473 in 1998 and broke his record with
510 in 2000.

Jefferson currently ranks third in the NFL with 1,027 receiving yards
and is tied for seventh with 67 receptions. He has also added six
scores, one away from tying his rookie touchdown total.
This is Jefferson's first selection as NFC Offensive Player of the
Month. He is the 12th different player in Vikings history to receive the
award, and the fifth player to do so under Vikings Head Coach Mike
Zimmer, who arrived in Minnesota in 2014.

Dalvin Cook won the award last November, and Kirk Cousins earned
the honor in October of 2019. Adrian Peterson won the honor in November
2015, and Case Keenum did so in November 2017.

Jake Reed (September 1997) and Cris Carter (November 1999) are the
other two Vikings receivers who have won NFC Offensive Player of the
Month honors.
