Good thing that didn't happen prior to the Vikes getting their new stadium,  otherwise the city and state would have said,  fine,  just give us 3/4 of a billion and you can go.

In one sense, that's a hell of a lot of $. Otoh a drop in the bucket relative to the size of state budgets.

I'm just glad neither Pawlenty or Ventura were Gov at the time. Or the Vikings may very well be playing @ SoFi right now. 

I give an awful lot of credit to Dayton and a couple of legislatures to get USB stadium finally done after decades of discussions and veiled threats.

StL has always been a baseball first town, but I'm sure there were plenty of long-time Cards fans there. Feel bad for em.
