NCAA --bye bye
#1
With Texas and OK joining the SEC,  at what point does the SEC call up Ohio and a few other schools and say why dont we just start our own thing and cut the NCAA ( and all the smaller programs that are a drain on the bigger ones share of the revenue)
 out of this?

Oh they've been edging toward this for 20 years. There are really only about 10-15 major college football programs that make mega-money. The landscape will continue to change. I'm not saying it will be better for traditionalists fans, but they should be allowed to do what they want. Its sports entertainment. And now college athletes are getting paid, it will get pretty crazy very quickly. Hell, a high school kid just got millions.

and all those small programs that spent a shit ton of money on facility upgrades and what not to make the jump to the NCAA... are screwed.
