Weaver and Perkins are like two opposite players in terms of skill. Perkins has the bend/flex/low dip and is around 6'3 245. Weaver is more of a power/hands strength guy who can contain the run and is 6'5 around 270lbs. Perkins game is all about speed and Weaver's game is all about Power for the most part. I just really liked the way Weaver played the run game and strung the lineman along the LOS and then easily use his hands/power to disengage and make the tackle. He can pass rush as well. Kinda reminds me of BRob's game which would compliment Hunter on the other side. Both Weaver and Perkins would be nice gets in the third round.@minny65 said:
I couple of "sleeper-ish" picks I would love to get on the Vikings in the 3rd round at positions of need. Some draftniks have these guys in the second but most do not that I have seen.
Rashad Weaver - DE - Pitt - very good power and hands and excellent against the run/contain. Had 48 total pressures last year and around 14 TFL.
Cisco - S - Syracuse - big, strong, fast and a ballhawk. Tore his ACL after 2 games last year but should be fine.
Eichenberg and Christensen played T in college but I think both are Guards in the NFL. I like Weaver, but I like Ronnie Perkins a little more. And I think you're right about Ike and Christensen. Everyone keeps ranking them as tackles and I think if you put them among the guards, they rank higher. Christensen might be this year's Neville Gallimore for me.
