"Almost made the playoffs" in a season in which the NFL added a 7th team and the NFC is so weak we have 2 teams in the playoffs at or under .500. If they go back to only 6 teams and/or the NFC toughens up a bit, next year that 7-9 will stop feeling like "almost".

Reality: this is a 3rd place team which got 5 of its 7 wins beating losing teams, and only defeated 1 team with a winning record all season. Other than the Bears and Packers, we did not defeat any team that finished with more than 5 wins. 1-7 against winning teams. Oh yeah, we would do some damage in the playoffs!!

They won't be better next year - they will be worse. The Wilfs are just prolonging the inevitable if they accept the bullshit excuses for this season and the entire Zimmer regime.

I sure hope he is.  Changing coaches sucks.  How many failures happen every year in the carousel?  And those teams that win constantly have something in common.  Same coaches, same QB
