Donald was and is a monster. his college production was amazing and then he went OFF at the combine. I had him #1 overall and im no draftnik.

i remeber  one draftnick here had him in the 3rd round cause his arms  were short. said draftnic did say later he could see end of first round.

We drafted Floyd  the year before so I can understand the thinking, but jeezus what a missed opportunity. Im not crazy about Barr which makes it worse, but most think he is realky good.
I got the Floyd argument. At least that made a little bit of sense. What drove me crazy was the guy (don't remember who) who argued that Donald wouldn't be able to get off a double team in the NFL, as if he didn't consistently beat double and triple teams at Pitt.

Early in the process, Donald was considered a late 1st rounder. It wasn't until people saw his jaw-dropping film and then followed that up with a ridiculous workout that he started to rise. He had everything: A+ film, A+ production, A+ workout and A+ character. Players like that don't come around very often.

I didn't hate the Barr pick at all. And he turned out pretty good. 4X pro bowler. A much MUCH worse pick was the Browns who took Justin Gilbert ahead of Donald, Barr AND OBJ-- a corner who had more red flags than the Beijing Olympics. He was out of the NFL after three seasons.

Would that be two Vikings (Shamar?) at the bottom of the win axis?
