This was a very deep WR class, and that is partially why Q. Davis went undrafted. He is a good route runner if you can give him a clean release by lining him up off the line in the slot. He is labeled a slot receiver NOT because he is small. He just needs a clean release to be productive. His production at Texas A&M didn't measure up to all the physical tools he has to work with. He looked good at the senior bowl. He has the ability to decelerate quickly, turn smoothly and he can cut sharply for a big receiver. Not a great natural hands catcher but still a very good prospect. I like what I see on tape and I think his best football is still ahead of him. Bleacher report lists Davis as one of their top 8 rookie free agents.

Good stuff. If you saw Arif's consensus big board, Davis was either a third of fourth round guy. I'm still trying to figure out how he went undrafted.

Me too. Dallas had him inked until the Vikings swept in with a better offer. Love...LOVE that Rick and the Wilfs are willing to do what it takes to get the best of the UDFA's every year.

I don't know why he dropped. I know he was a top 30 visit and those kind of smack of injury or character questions, but I've heard nothing about any specific red flags. He had an ACL 3 years ago and another minor injury heading into 2019, so maybe that's it. Could just be that he's sort of a WCO-only player in a very deep class of WRs.

I think he has a decent chance to beat out Sharpe and Beebe for that 4th receiver role. At the very least he'll be on the PS.

The Beebe train has left the station for me.
