Official Vike Fans Day Two Draft Thread
I really feel like Spielman screwed up the third round when there were some really good players who he could have traded up for. Maybe he tried and failed, maybe he wasn't willing to overpay to get what he wanted, but we could look back at this point in the draft and realize we passed over immediate contributors and potential starters that would have helped fill some of our glaring needs, especially at DT, to grab more picks. Not happy about that after he was doing so well and got the tackle I wanted.

I definitely feel like we could have come away with at least 1 legit G prospect. But, if no one wanted to trade down, going into Day 3 with a future LT that is a dead lock for our scheme and a CB who shut down Ja'Marr Chase is the best he could do, I'm good.

Maybe we still can. Ben Bartch, Muti. Vikings now have three 4ths, three 5ths, three 6ths and four 7ths. They'll move up in the 4th. Rick loves to have the highest pick possible on day three. But it's cheap to move up in the 4th. No way they can use all of those picks. They're going to have to do some serious drafting

I'm so tempted by Muti, but have we ever drafted a prospect with this many medical flags?

Kyle Rudolph comes to mind. Greg Childs. The difference is that team doctors aren't able to check out Muti. But you would think that 13 picks gives a little flyer room.

Another IOL to keep an eye on is Danny Pinter. Bet he goes in the 4th.

Rudy, iirc, was a bad hammy...Childs injuries were post draft, weren't they?

Muti with 2 Achilles and a les franc is a whole different story...

Both. Dude tore his patella tendon his senior year. Was considered a top prospect before that. Went in the 4th round. Then tore the patella in both knees on one play in training camp.

Same, although with this many picks today, it makes it so much easier to roll the dice on a guy like Muti. I hope Rick shows some sack today goes with guys like Fromm/Eason and Muti today....

True, with 113 picks, roll the dice. That 90 man roster isn't going to fill itself...
