An interesting argument regarding RS...

But if my name is Zygi Wilf and my GM isn't planning to win in 2020?

If no one is playing, no team is winning. It's just realistic planning if they believe this is an 18-month offseason - and I'm sure the Wilfs are involved if this really is a genuine strategy.

Too much money at stake for everyone concerned, especially the networks and advertising sponsors.  Abbreviated schedule (10-12 games), near-empty stadiums, players, coaches and all personnel tested to be insure no chance of spreading infection.

Probably true that they will come up with something...but the season will have a big asterisk forever.
Then again, how much $$ was lost for canceling the NCAA tournament, NBA season, NHL season, possible MLB? I don't see the NFL as too big to cancel if those were.

IMO  if there is a season, there likely won't be crowds attending.

With no crowds, again IMO, the games played would be more  unpredictable and the outcomes would likely be different.

Why do I say that?

With no crowd present, Zimmer (or any coach) could stand on the sideline at the LOS and  be able to communicate with players during the game in a way that has never happened before.

Think about it,  the players will be able to hear their coaches presnap.

It makes me wonder if or how that would affect play.

Or when the entire Viking sideline yells "pass".

I could see a situation where sideline coaching  significantly influences games due to the odd set of circumstances.
