RE: Bradbury released - JimmyinSD - 03-18-2025 (03-17-2025, 10:19 PM)Mattyman Wrote: That no other franchise was willing to part with a late draft pick to get him at a decent cost tells me how good a player the NFL thinks he is I believe that by designsting him as June 1st that they can spread any remaining cap hit over this season and the next. Outright cut now any hit is all on this years cap. Basically cap flexibility. RE: Bradbury released - hogjowlsjohnny - 03-18-2025 During the Spielman days the Vikings had a tendency to play anyone with a high draft number or big contract even when they weren't performing to expectation. The current front office and coaches seem willing to replace those not performing up to expectation in order to improve the team. That is a very encouraging sign! Bradbury was brought in to put the Elf back on the shelf, and was an upgrade. He looked like a great choice to be a wide zone center and wasn't bad in that running scheme. Great guy, sadly he just didn't have the lead to anchor. RE: Bradbury released - StickierBuns - 03-18-2025 Nothing bad to say about the guy as a dude, but you can't be the biggest FB in the NFL playing center. RE: Bradbury released - Riphawkins - 03-18-2025 The official height weight of Bradbury is 6’ 3” and 300# It’s weird, because he seemed to play much smaller. I know the game has changed over the years. But…. Back in the day, Jeff Christy was 6’ 2” and 284#, and Matt Birk was 6’ 4”, 310# Both were considerably better than Bradbury in my opinion. For whatever reason he just got pummeled by bigger d linemen. Maybe it has been the crappy guard play during his years here, or maybe he made the guards worse with his bad play. I liked him, thought he was a great team guy. Just wish he’d been better. RE: Bradbury released - Kentis - 03-18-2025 Bradbury gets pushed into the Patriots backfield…! ![]() The New England Patriots have signed veteran center Garrett Bradbury to a two-year, $12 million deal that includes $3.8 million guaranteed, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. https://www.si.com/nfl/patriots-ink-deal-with-veteran-center-to-replace-david-andrews RE: Bradbury released - purplefaithful - 03-18-2025 (03-18-2025, 11:31 AM)Riphawkins Wrote: The official height weight of Bradbury is 6’ 3” and 300# Jason Kelce was listed at 6'3 282 I'm sure they loved GB in the locker room, but not so much in the film room. They finally had enough. Like has been posted a bunch, guy could not anchor. RE: Bradbury released - JimmyinSD - 03-18-2025 Thanks for the effort on and off the field, but glad to close that book. |
