Eagles Kick DGB To The Curb
Posted by: JustinTime18™ - 06-30-2017, 02:53 PM - Forum: The Longship - Replies (16)

Eagles waived WR Dorial Green-Beckham.
Green-Beckham (6'5/237) has built-in-a-lab type size to go with 4.49 speed, but he hasn't been able to put it together at the NFL level after being drafted No. 40 overall by the Titans in 2015. He was traded by Tennessee just one year later. After signing Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery in the offseason, Green-Beckham's chances of making the Eagles roster were slim. A player who has an abundance of physical tools has been extremely inconsistent, largely struggling with drops. Released early enough to latch on with another team for another chance this summer, Green-Beckham will have a lot to prove.

At one point early on he was viewed as a top 5 guy...Maybe he'll make it in the flag football league...

Raiders Tell Mack To Talk To The Hand

Report: Khalil Mack will have to wait until 2018 for new dealPosted by Charean Williams on June 29, 2017, 7:48 PM EDT[Image: 6277098041-e1498780061402.jpg?w=250]Getty ImagesKhalil Mack will have to wait until 2018 for a new deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Per Schefter, the Raiders won’t have room to fit a new deal for the All-Pro linebacker under their cap after signing Derek Carr to a five-year, $125 million deal and giving Gabe Jackson a five-year, $56 million extension in recent days.
Carr and Jackson were the priorities as their rookie contracts expired after the 2017 season. The Raiders exercised the fifth-year option on Mack, extending his contract through the 2018 season.
Mack likely sets a new bar for defensive players when he gets a new deal. Only 26, he has twice earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors and last season won the league’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Must Hear: our 10 Minutes with Mike Morris on Chad May - LOL Funny
Posted by: Tom Moore - 06-30-2017, 10:41 AM - Forum: The Longship - Replies (2)

For those who remember QB Chad May when he was drafted out of Kansas State in 1994, a lot of people thought he was the Warren Moon replacement within a few years.  He was a colossal bust, and never played a down in the NFL (made the Viking practice squad the first year and then was out of football).

As bad as he was, it did not stop him from being an arrogant jerk in training camp.  So, Mike Morris, Pete Berchich, Todd Steussie, Randall McDaniel and Jeff Christy took care of his "attitude adjustment".

This is only a 10 minute snippet from our interview with Mike and Pete Bercich, but I defy you not to appreciate the payback and pranks of the NFL players after hearing this.  You also get a glimpse of Tony Dungy's mishievious side, and the humorous side of Head Coach Denny Green.
