RB Chuck Foreman Talks RB Dalvin Cook & Much More

Chuck talks about his intrigue for new Viking running back Dalvin Cook – really worth a listen.

Then, Chuck talks about his own experience as a Viking rookie in 1973, how different the draft was, and playing without mini-camps and OTAs.  He also discusses how wealthy he felt with his first NFL contract and tells you exactly what he got paid, and how he spent some of the money.

Don’t remember Chuck?  Here are some highlights from his career, and we have established his HOF site at http://www.ChuckForemanHOF.com

The best part of the interviews are when he talks about:

    1) The unique skill set Dalvin has

    2) Best ways to guide Dalvin to an off-the-field lifestyle that is not newsworthy and

    3) His stories about being a draft choice in Minnesota and his contract negotiations

Glad you put this front and center Tom.  I almost missed it.

Loved the interview, Tom and Chuck!

If Dalvin can have any kind of resemblance to his game that Chuck had, we’re gonna be in business. I think if Dalvin works hard at improving his blocking skills and catching the ball, he’ll be as complete a back as we’ve had here in years.

Loved the story about Chuck’s contract! Yes, back in those days a fancy home could be bought for $75,000! Wish we could go back to those days…

Thanks again for the interview, Chuck, and for your insights on Dalvin. I’m excited to see him and the rest of our rookies at the minicamp this weekend pennant_skolvikings

Thanks for listening folks.  I hope those who have not heard this at least listen to Chuck (who knows the tough streets where Dalvin grew up) talks about Dalvin.

His stories about being a rookie are fun too

If you saw the Sports Science clip on Cook, his visual recognition time was insane…

This was a great interview, Tom! Then adding the highlight clip put it over the top…

The one with Kamara too? Yes, that was crazy.

    Kamara is no slouch either.

What an amazing group of tail-backs this year (least as of 5/3 lol!)
