I didn't miss the ride. I just don't want this team to continue the ride. He isn't the same player.

And he has nerve talking about appreciation.

You guys are some unappreciative fans..

I'm so god damn happy I got to witness one of the GOAT running backs every Sunday.
Thank you AP!

I hope he comes back and finishes his career.

"Fumbling a playoff game"?

Really? Most of our playoff losses were not mostly on AP.
(Walsh, favre)

He single handley took us to the playoffs two years (2012) and the year we had t jack as our qb when we lost to philly.

I like Peterson. I liked having him. And if the price is right I would like to have him back. But in a split back routine with Mckinnon (AD getting the most carries though). But to neglect the fact Peterson did nothing against the Seahawks and he fumbled to give them field goal range in a game decided by one point is ridiculous. He also fumbled in the goal line against the Saints (but in fairness there were tons of mishaps that game). Favre although did the final mishap he was also the reason they were even in the game.

I think this is what is frustrating to most fans. He says stuff like this or that the NFL is like the slave trade and crap. If anyone is unappreciative it is Peterson to the NFL and the Vikings. They paid his salary for one game in 2014. He put the Vikings in a terrible position. Then they paid him a huge salary in 2015 and he played solid. 2016 he played in 3 games and made 12 million dollars. In the last 3 seasons he has missed nearly 2 seasons and has been paid 35 million dollars. It is mind boggling to me when I see quotes about how he doesn't feel appreciated when it is the polar opposite of the truth. He couldn't be more wrong. Again though. He isn't the smartest guy when he has the audicity to compare the NFL to the Slave trade.

I didn't say let's overpay him. But some of you are acting as if he's some scrub player for us.
Yeah he did fumble in the playoffs, but at the end of the day Favre threw a stupid pick throwing across his body and let's not forget the 12 men on the field penalty. Also Harvin had a costly fumble too. To blame it all on AP is borderline stupid.
And the Seattle game was all on Walsh. Sorry idk how you can blame AP for that one.

The late fumble gave Seattle momentum, it isn't all on Peterson. It was a team effort, with Walsh missing on what would have been a great comeback. But, Peterson isn't innocent in either case.

While he isn't some scrub player, all great players have to realize when the end is near. Those guys take pay cuts to help make teams better, those players realize when they put the entire organization in a bad spot when they have legal problems like Peterson did. Those players don't get butt hurt when a team doesn't want to over pay for your services.

Peterson could have went to Spielman and laid out an incentive heavy contract based on playing time and playoffs to stay with a team that has paid him at times to do nothing.

So while you don't get this side of it, I don't get your loyalty. It's a game where players get old and become less valuable. The way you are thinking the Vikings should still be paying Marshall, Forman, and Ed White. They were great contributors too, the end just came and they moved on.
