After going back and watching the slow-mo of the reviewed non-catch, check out Holtin Hills right hand.  It comes around and hits the ball as they are going to the ground.  Didn't notice it at first because I was looking for the ball to move but he clearly hits the ball which is probably why it moved.

People sleep peacably at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
