One stop in last 6 possessions with game on the line
FG, missed FG, TD, punt, TD, ran clock out. All the blame on Murray and offense and justifiably so, Murray is awful, the OL is not playing to the level they are getting paid and the play calling is terrible. However, they did put us on a position to win the game and the supposedly elite defense completely folded.
We have been doing it with amazing edge and LB play, but when those two parts of the defense were neutralized, the rest of the defense could not pick them up. DL and secondary were exposed for that they are today and Flores did not make any 2nd half adjustments and was totally out coached.
Blame the offense and Murray as they should, but a defense that gave up 24 first downs, 230 rushing yards, 384 total, is equally responsible.
They held one of the most explosive offenses to 19 points on the road. Couldn’t score 20 against one of the NFL’s worst defenses??

Can't just play one half and then say you did your job. Should have been 22 and Lions would have scored on last drive if they needed to, they could not stop them. Offense definitely was terrible, but defense shares half the blame here.
The D was completely exhausted by the end of the game. The offense could not sustain any sort of rhythm to get the defense some rest. This game is completely on the offense IMO.

That is not true. Here were the key consecutive possessions in the 2nd half where we got totally run over. They had plenty of rest and in addition there were so many injury timeouts including the long one.
Lions 2:53 TD
Vikings 5:11 Gave ball up on downs
Lions 1:49 punt
VIkings 3:56 TD
Lions 4:09 TD
What do you think the winning percentage is of teams that give 230 rushing yards in a game? Yes offense to blame, but Flores and his defense is equally to blame.

The defense has had better weeks. So has the special teams. So has the offense.
What are we doing here?

Equally? Are you serious? If it werent for the D we lose this fucker by 20. Thia D has carried this shitball year and in no way shares any blame for this loss. KOC and his insistence that might mouse is his QB is the issue. Any finger pointing at the D is completely ignoring the fact that the game is rigged for the O and ours cant take advantage of that fact.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
