As police investigated whether to file charges against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs following a May altercation with his then-girlfriend, multiple other women contacted police to detail their own allegations against him.

Those accounts were included in evidence regarding Jacobs' battery case that the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department released Friday night in response to a public records request. Green Bay TV station NBC 26 first reported the records release.

Jacobs pleaded no contest Sept. 10 to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property. He was arrested May 26, three days after an incident in which a woman said he threw her to the ground.

It's unclear how the latest allegations will play into the NFL's investigation into Jacobs. The league placed him on the commissioner's exempt list in August after charges were filed against him, and Jacobs missed the Packers' first six games of the season.

The NFL is still investigating Jacobs over the incident that led to his May arrest and could hand out more discipline to the running back.

There was no immediate comment from Jacobs or his legal team about the allegations that emerged in the police records late Friday. When he was allowed to return to the playing field earlier this month, Jacobs said he was "remorseful," and his lawyers said he had accepted responsibility for his actions in the Wisconsin case.

"Since there are ongoing legal matters, he will not have any further comment," they said Oct. 16.

According to the records that were released Friday night, one woman contacted police after Jacobs' arrest to say she had experienced a similar incident with him around 2023. She later said the incident actually occurred Jan. 5, 2022.

The woman said she had communicated with Jacobs for about six months before spending about 11 hours at his home. The woman said that after she told Jacobs she hadn't come there for sex, he became angry, slapped her across the face and told her not to disrespect him.

She said he took her phone and threw it into a swimming pool when she attempted to leave and that he grabbed her by the hair, threw her onto a bed, pinned her down, threw her to the floor and said "I should kill you right now." She said Jacobs also spit on her.

The woman said she hadn't previously reported the incident to law enforcement because she remained friends with Jacobs afterward and was concerned her allegations wouldn't be believed. The woman said she contacted police this time because she believed it showed a pattern of behavior similar to the allegations in the May case.

Another woman told police she had sex with Jacobs in April 2021. The woman said his condom broke, so she told Jacobs to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases because they both had been involved with other people.

The woman said Jacobs later removed her from the residence, grabbed her by the arms and biceps area, pushed her against a wall, and threw her belongings out. She told police that she suffered bruises to her arms and swelling in her rib area.

Hobart/Lawrence police said they obtained records from that incident indicating officers observed "no visible signs of injury, bruising or damage consistent with a physical altercation."

Another woman said she met Jacobs through social media and that he flew her to a residence in May 2022. She described an altercation in which Jacobs grabbed her by the hair, placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest, and took her phone after it fell to the floor.

The woman said she got bruises on her arm and scratches to her chest and neck. She said she didn't report the incident to police because she wasn't a U.S. citizen at the time and that Jacobs told her she could be deported.

The records released Friday also offered more details of the May 23 incident that led to Jacobs' arrest. According to the criminal complaint released in August, the woman told police that Jacobs grabbed her and threw her to the ground as she was trying to exit a garage door, causing her to hit her head. Police said Jacobs took her phone from her while she was on the ground.

The records noted that the woman said that while they were still in the home, Jacobs lunged at her, pinned her on the bed with his body weight on her chest and put his hand on her mouth and nose, so that she felt she couldn't breathe.

She also indicated that she believed she lost consciousness for a brief time when the confrontation moved to the garage.

Jacobs has played two games with the Packers since being removed from the commissioner exempt list, which had prevented him from playing or practicing with the team.

Throughout his off-field incident that resulted in a no-contest plea to misdemeanor battery, the Packers have remained steadfast in their support of running back Josh Jacobs.

That could now be changing.

The persistent presence of the Packers as one of the teams that have expressed some degree of interest in trading for Colts running back Jonathan Taylor suggests that they’ve at least pondered the possibility of swapping out Jacobs for Taylor.

Recent developments don’t help Jacobs’s cause.

Beyond the handcuff celebration that Jacobs tried to say wasn’t a handcuff celebration (but that video of the full celebration suggests was a handcuff celebration), Friday’s release of police records indicating that at least three other women have accused Jacobs of domestic violence could shake the team’s apparent resolve to keep him.

Throw in the fact that Jacobs is averaging 2.3 yards per carry in his two games back from a six-game stint on paid leave — including 1.9 yards per carry against the worst run defense in the league entering Thursday night’s game — and it’s possible that the Packers will realize that Jacobs is no longer good enough to justify a stubborn circling of the wagons.

Cutting Jacobs would raise the issue of termination pay as to the balance of his $10.2 million salary, and it would short-circuit the team’s ability to seek partial repayment of signing-bonus money if/when (when) he’s eventually suspended under the Personal Conduct Policy. For now, we won’t delve into the full extent of the niceties of Article 30 of the CBA; at a minimum, the Packers would have some potential arguments aimed at cutting off his right to any termination pay.

Even if the Packers ultimately are on the hook for termination pay, it’s a sunk cost. The question is whether they want to keep him on the team, in light of recent developments.

Again, they’ve been linked in multiple reports from ESPNFL to a trade for Jonathan Taylor. That alone is substantial evidence that they’re considering a future without Jacobs that could begin sooner rather than later.

The NFL was already reviewing the case of Packers running back Josh Jacobs following a no-contest plea to misdemeanor battery arising from an incident that happened in May 2026. The league is now investigating additional allegations that have recently come to light.

“We will review these allegations as part of the investigation which has remained open,” the NFL said Saturday in a statement.

Police records released on Friday revealed that three other women made allegations of violence against Jacobs, after the first incident came to light. The league likely will need to identify the individuals and then attempt to persuade them to cooperate.

It significantly raises the potential discipline that may eventually be imposed on Jacobs. He’ll get credit for the six games he missed on paid leave, with a requirement to forfeit the salary he received.

With the Personal Conduct Policy creating a baseline suspension of six games without pay for each incident of domestic violence, along with enhanced penalties for repeat offenses, Jacobs could be facing a lengthy suspension.

More immediately, the question remains whether the Packers will move on from Jacobs. The team had no comment on Saturday morning, in response to the news that three other women have made allegations against Jacobs.

Through it all, the video of the May 2026 incident remains hidden from public view. The NFL wants to see it before finalizing his punishment for the incident that sparked a no-contest plea.
