NFCN ONLY TRADES / RUMORS
A place for NFCN Trades/Rumors only. Let's keep them all in one place. Makes it easier to keep track of our rivalries.
If you want to start a thread about an NFCN blockbuster trade for immediate notice, GREAT! (As I did with the Bears/Titans) It will get merged into this one after a bit though. I hope you all oaky with this.
Thanks everyone 😊

I saw this earlier too...just WOW! Going all in apparently. I LOVE Jeffrey Simmons and this is a killer to the NFC North foes. This is one bad mamma jamma.
Two 1st rounders and a 4th? That's a pretty strong haul.
The last time Chicago traded two 1st-round picks was for Khalil Mack in 2019.

They now do the same for a package to get Jeffrey Simmons. https://t.co/I9jEViGmxz

Really good player but its going to be very interesting to see how Chicago maneuvers the cap in the next year or two.
Simmons makes around 30 mil/yr.
Williams due for an extension soon, my guess is at least 60/mil per year and Burden will want one after next season and itll be at least 30/mil.
I just don't see the rational in trading multiple #1s for a non-QB. Does it ever really work out. Would anyone say Parsons has made that big of a difference for the Packers. Between the picks and salary, I think this is the type of move that ends up hurting a good young team like the Bears.

One could only hope!
BIG (literally) move by Poles...
The only good news is he'll be trying to wreck Kittles and Packer OL's in addition to ours.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

smart move by the bears for a couple late first they put themselves in several years of deep playoff runs.
Vikings at 6-0 and i would still be shocked if they make the playoffs. lots of good teams in the nfc. They should keep their picks unless it is for someone who can help multiple years.

Yeah, the bears love giving away first round picks in bunches. Might help this year, but as stated in this thread, that is a lot, and a lot of salary.

BS now is the time for the bears before they have to pay their guys. They have their qb. they are going for it.

That's been my gut feel too all along.
I'd like Taylor at the right price, but no day 1 picks.
Someone posted on a back like Hall and I'd be good with that - especially at 25 years old.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
The Bears went hard at DeForest Buckner before he was traded to the 49ers. Now, they land Jeff Simmons, who is playing his best football.

That’s a lot of cheddar but Simmons is top tier. Titans will fumble those 1s badly.

A first, literally: Jeffery Simmons is the first defensive tackle in the common draft era since 1967 to be traded for multiple first-round picks. pic.twitter.com/EOrDCK5MCl

Man, I go out to vote and a big trade goes down.
Maybe I’ll go vote again

For people who don’t follow the #Titans closely: Jeffery Simmons is—and has been—the best DT in football this year.

I don’t think it’s remotely close.#Bears paid up. But this changed everything defensively for them. https://t.co/yvyZPvHWGv

Jeffery Simmons' contract is pretty flexible from a Bears perspective. Heavy base salaries that can be maneuvered with small minor bonuses. Gutsy move by Ryan Poles pic.twitter.com/ydlooYKp5i
