Teasley has to make the trades now to help this offense
6-0 is a big deal....that's probably an understatement. The defense every single week is dominating, you cannot waste that effort and what they are doing this season. We might not have the QB1 that a few thought he'd be (my concerns have been validated), but he's what we've got now so continue to work with his strengths. I don't think we need a huge swing at RB, Mason can be The Man (averaged 4.5 a carry yesterday), but we need an additional rotational guy now with AJ being hurt. Maybe a DT if the asking price is ok, the rookies (Orange, Banks) are just too green yet...they are getting gouged and washed out inside when they are in....which is causing their snap counts to stay low and extra mileage on the starters.
OG, RB and DT spring to mind for help via trades....various members of the board have brought up candidates. The team is amongst the absolute worst in the league at scoring points, especially TDs. It might be the difference between an early exit from the playoffs or a run.

I have to wonder how much we're missing Josh Oliver and Donovan Jackson. A low-cost LG and a good blocking TE might help us more than we think.
But RB would be the real game changer IMO. Mason and Jones are good, solid backs, but they don't force the defense to change the way they play you. Only a back like Taylor or Barkley would do that. Detroit, Buffalo, KC and the 49ers all have backs that require a defense's full attention. As "solid" as our guys might be, they don't represent that kind of threat.
Yup a field tilter threat at RB changes the game...
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
If you could get Taylor for a 2nd I’d pull the trigger! You won’t find a better player in the second round! Game changer for this team? I think so…
He just gave the Giants a young, talented starting QB for a 5th rounder. I don't think I trust him to make any more trades.
Yes, I am salty and will continue to be as I think possibly the biggest fix for the offense this year was given away for nothing a few weeks ago.
I wonder if they are hesitant to make a big trade right now, because they may need all the draft capital they can get to draft a QB next year? As of now, Murray doesn't appear to be worthy of a big contract.

Boy, I just dont see a day 1 qb for this team next draft. Day2 guy? All day...
But it's also a really long ways away.
If its not Murray, its going to be a veteran that wont make very many excited (or hopeful) in Viking land.
If BFlo goes? They better have lots of Lorazepam in stock for the fanbase.

I think this is a great point, we do not have the 2027 QB on the roster and we are not going far with the current QB we have, most likely best case this year is one playoff win regardless of who we trade for. Unless it is a great deal on a player who is going to help us in the future, I would be hesitant to make a short term move.
What I would like to see us do is something like we did with Daniel Jones a few years ago. Is there a QB we can bring in who we can audition for next year regardless if it is a potential starter or backup. Unless they really see something in Brosmer, I would bring in someone like Will Levis and see if you could turn him around like you did with Darnold.
Quenton Nelson is generating significant trade interest, per @RapSheet.

With the Colts not signing Nelson to an extension, contenders are now calling.

No amount of draft capital will get us into that top tier of QBs. Mahomes is probably the closest trade to what we would need and was a this year 3rd and a next year 1st to move from 27 to 10 to get a QB that has question marks by their name. So you can tweak the draft compensation to adjust for a better QB or moving further.
But also, the Chiefs already had a playoff caliber QB under contract in Alex Smith, so maybe they weren't desperate like we might be.
The #Vikings are expected to “further ramp up” conversations with teams on available players via trade this week, @alec_lewis mentioned via @AlecLewisShow.

Seattle made Mahomes look like Max Brosmer on Sunday.

Yeah he did. U of K iirc

I’ll say it again. Before he went out vs the Rams, Barkley was running at a tempo I hadn’t seen since his 2K season.

Everything equal, you take Barkley or Taylor?

I’m assuming comp for Barkley will be lighter. But, everything being equal I take Taylor.

Same. He's two years younger. But man, I've seen Barkley do things that I don't think Taylor can do. I'd be happy with either.

Barkley has a much cheaper contract I believe. But yeah, Taylor.

He was a guy I watched a lot on during the draft process. I thought he would have been a good fit for us and was hoping to draft him.
If the Vikings trade for an elite RB, that would potentially change everything for the Vikings' offense. pic.twitter.com/X27xRMtVPV

The Colts’ stance on a potential Jonathan Taylor trade, per, @RapSheet on NFL Network:
— SleeperColts (@SleeperColts) October 26, 2026
“The Colts view him as a big part of their franchise turnaround. Yes, anyone can be had via trade, but this one is gonna be pricey if it happens.”
