The Vikings have started 6-0, six times in their 65 year history - 1973, 1975, 1998, 2000, 2003 & 2009.
The First time the Vikings Went 6-0: 1973 vs the Eagles. Fran Tarkenton and John Gillian have huge days, and Minnesota never trails and the final score we made closer by a late Philly score. Vikes for to 6-0 with a 28-21 win. @Fran_Tarkenton pic.twitter.com/lyWDXOp8BW

MIN went to a record of 6-0 (2nd time in Franchise history) vs CHI in 1975 on Monday Night Football. Chuck Foreman rushed for over 100 yards and Jim Lash scored the only touchdown in a 13-9 MIN win. NFL Films rarely filmed MNF in the 1970s, so this is the only film we have. pic.twitter.com/Ep3O0f64ai

The third time that Minnesota started the season 6-0 was in 1998 vs the Redskins. The Vikings smoked Washington 41-7 on their way to a 15-1 regular season record. pic.twitter.com/mMYsVTeG4y

The 4th time the Vikings started the season at least 6-0 and it was 2000. The new starter was Daunte Culepper and he ripped it up that season. If not for Peyton Manning, he was likely the MVP. Here are photos from the win vs the Bears in game 6. @Robert26Smith pic.twitter.com/ZQw5Id7Qpx

This is actually the 5th time.
The 6th time in Viking Franchise history that Minnesota started the season 6-0. Few remember the game, but any Viking fan who is old enough, remembers the play in the 2003 season vs the Broncos. Culpepper to Randy Moss to Moe Williams lateral for the long score! @RandyMoss pic.twitter.com/3Qso5XcHmI

The 6th and FINAL Time (we will show the 5th on Saturday 10/17) the Vikings started a season 6-0. Favre throws for 2 scores, Sidney Rice has 176 receiving & Peterson had 143 on the ground. A FG miss by BALT was still needed as time ran out to secure the 33-31 win. @sidneyrice pic.twitter.com/pKGP0NR1QX

Up early to sound the Gjallarhorn and then on @kfan1003 to call the team to a 6-&-0 record! Would be 11 consecutive back to '25, too. Honored, touched, excited & wish my mom Shirley were here to see it. Thank you coach Kevin O'Connell & @VikingsPR for creating this moment. #Skol https://t.co/0QCf6MfyfA

Ex-Cardinals GM Steve Keim says Kyler Murray sometimes “refused at times” to run designed QB plays in Arizona:

“He told our coaches he didn’t feel comfortable running the football.”
Kyler is best on the run, need more of that.

The Vikings’ Top 3 Questions Going into the Week 7 Colts Game
he Vikings’ top questions series turns its attention toward the Indianapolis Colts.
On Sunday, a pair of teams moving in opposite directions will square off inside U.S. Bank Stadium. Minnesota is rallying around new GM Nolan Teasley while Indianapolis is venturing into the great unknown that is life after firing Chris Ballard on Monday. What’s coming up in today’s game?
The Vikings’ Top 3 Questions for Week 7
Question No. 1 — Does Jauan Jennings Get Featured?
Just a pair of catches and 9 yards means Jauan Jennings finds himself included in the league trade chatter. I think the Vikings respond by featuring him.
A team scripts the opening plays. What that means is that the opening fifteen(ish) plays are pre-planned and called depending on down and distance. Look for several of those plays to involve Jennings as either the first or second read. Scoring a touchdown while munching up yards would quiet a lot of the speculation.
Question No. 2 — Can Brian Flores Keep the Chaos Cooking?
Does the Vikings’ defense cool off? Doesn’t appear likely, but do note that Minnesota’s momentum has been cutoff by the bye.
The greatest issue in today’s game is likely to be found in Colts RB1 Jonathan Taylor. Seeing the elite runner earn chunk gains consistently will mean that the Vikings could struggle to generate the quarterback pressure that they desire. Sacking the QB is a lot easier on 3rd & 9 than 3rd & 1.
So, start by clogging running lanes to earn the right to wallop the passer.
Question No. 3 — Do the Vikings Get a Nice Look at Colts Trade Talent?
Plenty of Colts players are burning up the NFL trade rumors. Some names to note:
LG Quenton Nelson
DT DeForest Buckner
S Camryn Bynum
TE Mo Alie-Cox
Do any others get tossed into the mix for a Vikings team that’s hungry for success beyond just the regular season? Watch the game to see who stands out among the Colts’ players.

Today’s goal for the Vikings defense: slow down Jonathan Taylor but do it gently… just in case.
