I think with Mason back we’re gonna be fine.

What the hell happened to Hampton? Before he was hurt last season, he looked terrific.

Before the Commanders released Kaytron Allen, I thought Jacory Croskey-Merritt would be a nice trade target. Chargers are floundering and have Hampton, Mitchell (McDaniels favorite), and Vidal. All 3 are getting work, wouldn't hurt to check on Hampton or Vidal to see what the prices are...

RB is a little lesser of a need if Mason comes back, but Claiborne hasn't gotten a chance to show what he is so I'm assuming he's not ready to contribute if we have an injury. We need another guy if Jones or Mason gets dinged again.

But does the team need a RB now that Mason is back and AJ outplayed everyone's expectations? JMO but doubtful.

Immediate need, probably not as long as our guys stay healthy.

Near term and Long term need, absolutely.

Yeah, could see a long term RB as more of a possibility. But what do you do with him for the remainder of this year? Rotational? I think they want Mason to be the bell cow?

Insurance, especially as we continue to lean on the running game. Neither Jones or Mason can be counted on to finish out the year. I think Claiborne’s head is spinning like a top.

How about Quinten Nelson as a one year rental? Last year of his deal. Huber swings to RG. When he hits the FA market you probably recoup anything you’ve traded for him.

I’m turgid.

Maybe we trade Jennings to the Chargers for Hampton? They need WRs with Ladd, QJ, and now Harris banged up.

No team is stacked everywhere, but we're still staring down lack of depth in key position groups post the KAM years...We knew it coming into 2026 and it hasn't gone away since the season started.

I agree we'd be a bit careless counting on just Mason/Jones the rest of the way. The only question in my mind is do you go for a Rb1 sitting at 5/0? Or is it a depth play at RB?

The rook rb isn't ready to contribute this season, that much is pretty clear.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Jennings and two 5 might get it done.

Hampton was a first round draft pick last year they aren't trading him for half a season of Juauan Jennings. I wish!

Harbaugh and McDaniel will be shown the door long before Hampton's rookie contract ends, and maybe the next coach loves Hampton.

If the Vikings offered a 6th for Vidal, or a 3rd for Hampton I think that'd be reasonable. I think either one could help us.

X has us trading for anyone and everything. My guess is if Teasley pulls the trigger in the next 2 weeks, it'll be known when the signing actually happens without any rumors preceding it. These guys are on teams still, so I guess the league was mad at the NFL insiders for reporting that MHJ was being traded from Arizona without the accepting team being mentioned initially. 🤔They wanted them to wait, that's what Shefty said this morning.

So again, I'm looking for the area of need to make a big splash? A minor trade seems more likely.

Maybe kick the tires on RB Tony Pollard on the 0-5 Titans. 6' 0", 209 lbs, 29 years old. Would be a one year rental as I believe he is in the last year of his contract.

Yah, JIT posted something on that a week or 2 ago...I think he's been doing that with a couple of teams?

My $$ is on KC, if he comes back this year.

They need something to beef up the RB room if they want to make a run. Aaron Jones is great but will be down at some point. Jordan Mason never has stayed heathy his whole career for long stretches so it wouldn't hurt to get someone that could shoulder a good workload.
