Not sure what Hill's issue was, Wilson got shoved into him and then tried to help him up. Probably was mad he couldn't throw another flag. Goodness they were flag happy.

Agreed. But worse than being a hothead is a referee who is dead certain and ready to take action when he does not even know what happened. Then, after realizing he fucked up, he comes up with some BS explanation: he was just trying to keep E. Wilson from getting into it with O. Gordon. How about just admitting that he was pissed off about getting knocked down and he thought Wilson did so carelessly? But that would mean he reached a conclusion before knowing the facts. Not a great thing for a referee to admit. Glad he will sit one out.
Wilson did everything you want a player to do. It wasn't his fault he was blocked into the ref., and he even tried to help the guy back up. The ref needs to protect himself by STAYING OUT OF THE WAY, and not by throwing flags.
The ref was definitely being a butt. Wilson did nothing wrong. As others have already said, he even tried to help the ref up.
Did I hear wrong or did one of the announcers actually say that a player is supposed to know where the refs are at all times?

Yah, I thought he lost his cool out there too. Should make both those guys write public apologies.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
The NFL has issued a pair of suspensions to officials after incidents with players during Sunday’s games.
The league has suspended referee Adrian Hill one game and line judge Jeff Seeman for two games for unprofessional conduct. The suspensions were issued by NFL vice president of officiating Ramon George.
Hill was knocked over by Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson while Wilson was being blocked by Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon through the whistle. Hill got up and got in Wilson’s face while yelling at him to get back to his team’s huddle. Wilson was not penalized on the play.
Cameras caught Seeman saying “f—k you” twice to Cardinals tight end Trey McBride after McBride complained about the lack of a flag for pass interference during Arizona’s loss to the Giants. The NFL Players Association called Seeman’s response “unacceptable” in a statement to PFT on Sunday.

The NFL has suspended line judge Jeff Seeman for two games and referee Adrian Hill for one game as punishment for instances of unprofessional conduct toward a player.
NFL vice president of officiating Ramon George issued the suspensions.
Seeman was caught on camera apparently cursing at Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during Sunday's 36-24 loss to the New York Giants.
McBride felt he had been interfered with by Giants cornerback Dru Phillips on a third-and-8 pass from quarterback Jacoby Brissett that fell incomplete. McBride got hit and complained to Seeman, who appeared to yell a profanity at McBride, according to video of the incident.
After the McBride incident, NFLPA executive director JC Tretter posted a statement on X that called for officials to receive the same level of scrutiny as the players.
"This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable. Players are consistently held accountable when roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard," Tretter wrote.
Hill's incident involved Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson in their 15-10 win over the visiting Miami Dolphins.
Wilson was pushed into Hill by Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II midway through the first quarter after a third-and-10 play was whistled dead because of a Minnesota penalty. Gordon drove Wilson away from quarterback Malik Willis and into Hill, who was knocked down. As Wilson tried to help him up, Hill jumped up while pointing and yelling at Wilson to get away.
Wilson said he laughed off the incident with Hill.
"That was funny, honestly," Wilson told reporters in the Vikings' locker room. "I ended up apologizing to him and explained the situation. He was cool about it. He understood what was going on. He just said he didn't want us fighting, me and [Gordon]. He said he was just trying to break us up."
Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said he didn't get a great view of the play, but did defend Hill as an official in the league.
"I think Adrian's a really good official and does a really good job," O'Connell said Monday. "And I think that was just kind of a fast moment that happened and we can put it behind us hopefully."
