Credit where it is due
I will give KOC credit for winning another ugly game. He stuck to the game plan, run the ball and play D.
Not being able to run the ball hurt, losing Jefferson hurt and changed the game plan. But with that D. He stuck to the plan and came away with a win.
I’ve mentioned it a few times, but I don’t think many fans were around to watch the 1971 team. This team is very reminiscent. Smothering D, good ST, and an offense that should be played on loop at GITMO as psychological torture.
My biggest problem with KO is his unwillingness to get starters reps in preseason. The O had about as much rhythm as Navin Johnson. Losing Jefferson early didn’t help. But we never found anything to hand our hat on.
How about some rollouts or sprint outs? Pound it to the TEs on intermediate stuff. Screens. Easy completions to get the ball rolling.
But, another 1 score game with a positive turnover margin has been working. I’ll continue to keep the nitro close by.

Losing Jefferson hurt. He draws so much attention even when he's not targeted. Without Mason, we're struggling and leaning on Jones who is going to get beat to a pulp before the season ends. I get it..they wanted to ease Murray in but our running game just isn't getting consistent results. Third game in a row that I came away happy that we somehow won..but couldn't quite explain how. We're going to need to get better to be a real contender but 3-0 is a great way to start. I'm not sure we have our QB for next year on the squad. I actually wanted Mayfield when he was available. Wentz is no better..if you need 150 yards passing per game..he's your guy. I'm guessing we see McCarthy before the season ends either through performance issues or because of injury.

Not using hockenson heavily today, especially after JJ got hurt didn't make sense.
Don't trade JJ.
