OT ~ Help ~ Any PC Tech Experts Here?

Hi all ~ Are there any computer techs/wizards here?

I need some help/advice with my desktop. Windows update will not finish installing, gets stuck at 98%. I have tried it 3 different times/days. Updates are currently "paused". It won't let me extend the pause date. Said I can't do another pause until updates have been installed. But, it WON'T install the update! 🥴

I'm getting a new PC & am in the process of backing everything up. I have a few questions concerning this one in case I don't get my new one before the deadline.

I won't bore everyone here with all the specifics, but if you can help, please comment & I'll message you with the info.
