One of the Vikings’ biggest plays in their comeback win over the Packers on Sunday was made by a rookie defensive tackle with the best nickname on the roster. Afterwards, he delivered the quote of the day.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Packers elected to take three points off the board when Dallas Turner was offside on a field goal that temporarily put Green Bay up 25-17. They went for it on 4th and 1, hoping to extend their drive and get a touchdown that would’ve made it a two-score affair.

With two options at the line of scrimmage, Jordan Love said it was his decision to go with a quarterback sneak. He didn’t get the yardage he needed. Right in the middle of the action, lined up at nose tackle, was Vikings third-round rookie Domonique ‘Big Citrus’ Orange, who controlled the A gap and made the tackle.

“It was disrespectful,” Orange said of the Packers’ decision, via Purple Insider’s Matthew Coller. “So mindset was, y’all are going to go take that? Alright, cool. Turnover on downs.”

Did Orange know the sneak was coming?

“Absolutely,” he said. “Fourth-and-1 and you have a rookie in front of you? If I was a quarterback, I’d try that too. But they don’t know about Big Citrus yet.”

“They don’t know about Big Citrus yet” is a line that’s going to be hard to top all season.

Orange played 22 snaps in his NFL debut. The Vikings drafted him in the third round out of Iowa State this year to do what he did all preseason long and again on Sunday: Use his strength to eat up blocks and be a factor in the run game. He’s also a weapon against QB sneaks, it seems.

“That was a big part of the game,” Andrew Van Ginkel said. “They took their three points off the board. That’s a three-point swing, could’ve been a seven-point swing if they get that.”

Redmond and Orange didn't give an inch. Very poor call in my book. Not just going for it, but the execution looked poor. Or we just have some good stout guys up front.

I think we may have baited them into the QB sneak. Put the rookie 3rd rounder right in front of Love and dare them to make less than a yard. Orange was pretty damn stout on that. Good for him "“They don’t know about Big Citrus yet”
