EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings and Legends Global are introducing a series of technology enhancements for the 2026 season at U.S. Bank Stadium. The changes, which include innovative entry procedures and an upgraded retail experience, are designed to make every visit, from arrival through departure, seamless for fans. Descriptions and links to video tutorials for each stadium enhancement are below.

Open the Gates: Faster, Frictionless Security Screening

U.S. Bank Stadium has enhanced the fan arrival experience with the installation of new OpenGate security screening technology at every entry point. The advanced contactless system allows guests to move through security screening without removing items from their pockets or having approved bags physically inspected, helping create a faster and more convenient entry process while enhancing stadium security. The clear bag policy that limits the size of bags allowed in the venue remains in effect.

After trialing the technology in limited fashion during the 2025 season, the Vikings are expanding Vikings Express Pass, a voluntary touchless entry program powered by biometric authentication technology. The optional program allows enrolled guests to enter through designated lanes and eliminates the need to scan individual tickets or present a mobile device at the gate. Fans simply walk through the entry lane while their full allotment of tickets are automatically validated, reducing wait times and creating a seamless and efficient arrival experience when paired with the stadium's touchless security screening.

Seven touchless entry lanes are available at five gate locations across the stadium, including the Legacy Gate, CFMOTO Gate, Ticketmaster Gate, Ecolab Gate and Upper 3M Gate. Participation is completely voluntary, and traditional ticket-scanning options remain available for all guests. Interested fans can sign up in advance here.

Ugh, I guess going to a sporting event isn't the place to maintain anonymity, but wow, looks like lots of scanning, facial recognition and such.

yep that's the way of the world and there is very little in the way of making sure this data collection isn't being misused.

Is this thing STILL on?
