Exactly right. He got almost zero pressure in the pocket and guys were wide open all night. Stanford should be embarrassed. His passing stats look almost made up.

I view these games as glorified 7 on 7 drills. And don’t get me wrong. I’m not minimizing what he did vs Stanford, it’s just that is the expectation for a guy who’s probably no worse than an early Day 2 pick. It should look like video game numbers.
Conference games should shed a little more light on who’s really himothy. He’s throwing to future 1st rounders, protected by a future first rounder, and can turn around and hand off to a likely Day 2 pick. The ND game will have a lot of weight in his evaluation.
