Vikings practice just ended. J.J. McCarthy, who was banged up in Saturday’s preseason game, participated in practice. He did 3 reps of full team drills, a little less than normal, but the practice was in shells so it was hard to make any grand judgments about his conditions

With Theo Jackson injured and Harrison Smith -- not here -- UDFA S Jacob Thomas continued to get a lot of run with the first team. We also saw more of 3rd-round pick Jakobe Thomas, who hasn't done much in camp because of a back issue.
