2026 TC ~The Vikings are enforcing the No Video Rule

  • AI: The Minnesota Vikings are strictly enforcing a no-video policy during their 2026 training camp to prevent competitive information and footage from leaking to opponents.

  • Vikings: No Video Policy: Spectator video recording and photography of practice drills are strictly banned to protect team strategy. Fans attending open practice sessions are prohibited from recording and sharing video footage of team drills and practice action. Enforcement: While media members have long faced strict recording limits, the franchise is actively ensuring that attending spectators also comply with the rule as a condition of entry.

  • Daily Norseman - Warren Ludford: The Minnesota Vikings had their first training camp practice open to the public (today) yesterday, Thursday 07/30, which brought more visibility to the proceedings, at least for the day, from fans posting videos that media aren’t allowed to do (and fans aren’t supposed to do either). But it looks like the Vikings are enforcing the no video rule this year so that may curtail future videos of training camp. Teams across the league have been working for several years to prevent photos and videos of training camp from being disseminated to opponents via the public for competitive purposes and the Vikings appear to be enforcing that policy as a condition for fans attending training camp.

Guys… some very unfortunate and frustrating news I regret to share.

At the end of practice today, I was approached by two officers, letting me know I am being written up for trespassing because of the videos I took today. It is for one year.

As you all know, I have no ill intent on posting videos. I understand it says “No Videos of Practice”, but I was told by a Vikings media member, the correct way to post videos, if I were to do so. I followed the instructions on how to properly do it.

Not because it was anyone’s fault but mine, and not blaming anyone, I just feel very misguided in this process. Yes it comes down to rule following of no videos, but I thought I was in the clear from someone that works for the Vikings. Would’ve just liked a written warning.

I’m going to try to fight this, but just know that if you are taking videos at camp, you will be written up for trespassing.

What a world. They tell him not to video and post it on social media. He videos and posts it on social media. Then very passive aggressively takes a little blame yet felt 'misguided' with the rules and posts on X for support and sympathy. Accountability with some of the younger generation is going the way of the Dodo bird. 🙄 😒
