Harry loving his time away...
Eric Wilson says Harrison Smith is 'loving' time away
Speaking of retirees, I asked current Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson about how safety Harrison Smith is enjoying his time away: "He's loving it," said Wilson, who played five years with Smith in Minnesota. "I know he's spending some time with his kids and having fun with the fam right now. I'd love if he came back, but we're going to see. ... You gotta let him live. I don't like to pressure anybody."
Defensive coordinator Brian Flores said Wednesday that multiple players, such as linebacker Blake Cashman and safeties Theo Jackson and Jay Ward, are expected to increase their communication responsibilities in Smith's absence.
Flores said Wednesday of Smith: "We love him dearly. Hope that he hears that, and he knows what I mean by that."
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
We'll see if he gets the itch as August fades closer to September...
