Smart man recognizing who he really worked for (so many could take a page from his book on that one) and that he played a kid's game for a living. What a life and what moments he had to have experienced. Love that for him and it is refreshing to hear someone in his shoes highlight it. Fun little video for sure. It's also nice to see the Redskins uniforms, memorabilia, and fandom for their squad...it's just not same there anymore.
My parents were on vacation in Florida, around north Lake Okeechobee....this was awhile ago. Maybe close to 27+ years ago? My Dad drove over to Port St. Lucie to do some fishing from the pier. Another guy was there so they kind of fished in silence for a bit then started talking. End up hitting it off a bit and went for a few beers somewhere and then parted ways. It turned out to be John Riggins. Dad said he was just the nicest guy, loved to fish.
