OT: 80 year olds performing concerts...
Rod Stewart had to be given oxygen on stage a week or two ago and now Lionel Ritchie on stage had to end his Earth/Wind/Fire show early after falling ill.
On one hand? I applaud them for getting out there and being vibrant/active...OTOH? Might be time to chill a bit more.

This probably won't be popular but its stupid. Stewart is 81...Richie is 77. Who wants to see these guys 'performing' at their age? They can't sing anymore. Stop the madness.
Seen Willie Nelson perform 3 times in less 6 yeas.
First time about 3 hours non stop (2012) The Backyard Live Oak Amphitheater.. I proposed to my wife that night
Second about 1.5 hours (2015) Moody Theater NYE
Third it was shaky and maybe 45 min (2018) Bell County Expo
Oh ya Loretta Lynn in her 80's about 3 songs and she sat down.

Yeah, not sure what the draw is. I am sure their vocal abilities have declined sharply. And they certainly can't perform.
I blame the people paying for tickets. What a waste.
I think it really depends on the performer, some have defied time and can still perform, but many are a waste of time and money.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Ann Wilson is in rough shape, like, singing from a wheelchair. I dunno, is it really worth it? Is it even entertaining? And Elton John, man that guy lost his voice. The voice really goes when you're old.
That said, some of the concert vids from Rush's tour opener are pretty good for 70 somethings. New drummer gives them a lot of energy and Geddy Lee got a voice coach so he's not as totally screechy as in the past. I'm not a huge fan of the band but I've been entertained by this recent content.
Here's the best vid I've found if you're interested. I'm kinda blown away by how good bootlegs can be now, it's a long way from the shitty stuff on cassettes that we had in the old days:
